In a joint press release published on 5 August 2024, Malaysia Airlines and Air Mauritius have announced the reinstatement of codeshare flights to various destinations including Malaysia, Asia, Australia and Africa.

In addition, Air Mauritius, the national airline of the island, will codeshare with Malaysia Airlines for domestic flights to Langkawi, Penang, Kota Bharu, Kuantan, and Johor Bharu.

It will be recalled that currently there are direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Mauritius and this partnership is set to enhance connectivity and convenience for travelers seeking new options for their future travelling plans.
