Apple & Google have been ordered by EU Court to pay billions in back taxes and fines.

Final decisions in long running cases are considered as major victory in Europe’s bid to regulate US tech giants.

Apple has been ordered to repay around USD 14.35Bn for illegally receiving tax benefits in Ireland. At the same time, the ECJ upheld a USD 2.65Bn EU antitrust fine.

The outcome of those long-standing cases is claimed as ‘Tax Justice’ by Margrethe Vestager
