The Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Mauritius has been re-elected as the representative for the Africa/Middle-East Regional Committee (AMERC) to the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Board for the 2024 to 2026 term. It will be recalled that the AMERC is one of the four regional committees constituted by the IOSCO regrouping financial market regulators of the region and comprising 28 ordinary members and 14 associate members.

As the AMERC representative, the FSC will continue its commitment to foster fair, transparent and resilient markets while enhancing regulatory collaboration within AMERC and active participation in IOSCO’s policy-making processes. The re-election reflects strong confidence from AMERC and the broader IOSCO community in the FSC’s commitment to high regulatory standards and advancing the interests of its member jurisdictions, highlighting Mauritius’s significant role in the global regulatory framework.
